Numerous hiking/biking/snowshoeing trails are just minutes or short walk away in the Arapho National Recreation area.  Downhill skiing is 20 minutes away at Sol Vista Ski Resort or 40 minutes from the Winter Park Ski Resort.  Maintained Cross Country skiing can be found in Grand Lake or at Snow Mountain Ranch.
